Dr. Caitlin Morrisroe grew up in Marlborough, MA and attended the University of New Hampshire. There she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in General Biology. For 2 years, post graduation, she worked as a technician at the University of Massachusetts doing Molecular Biology Research. Dr. Morrisroe then attended the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL on a scholarship. The chiropractic program is an intensive 5 year program that is condensed into 3.5 years by working though the summers. While in IL, Dr. Morrisroe took additional courses in Chiropractic Acupuncture and Digestive Enzyme Therapy. She also did some class work in Applied Kinesiology and in the Activator Protocol.
In August of 2004, she graduated with a second Bachelors of Science degree in Human Biology as well as her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree. Dr. Morrisroe successfully passed all of the required portions of the National Board Examinations as well as the Maine State Board Exam to become licensed. During her 8th, 9th and 10th Trimesters of Chiropractic school, Dr. Morrisroe began pursuing her Masters in Clinical Nutrition through the University of Bridgeport, CT. In July of 2005, she obtained that degree and integrates nutrition as much as possible in to her chiropractic treatments.
In May 2006, Dr. Morrisroe opened Absolute Health Chiropractic. Since that time, the clinic has expanded and relocated to The Bay Club in One City Center. In 2007, she also became APEX certified, which is an individualized nutritional program to help a client reach their weight loss or muscle building goals. Dr. Morrisroe’s varied background allows her to target each issue from many different angles. She fully believes in treating the whole person, not just the pain.
